Day #6 - Sleep on it

Oct 29, 2010

Alright, I'm not gonna lie and tell you when Tracy said there would be flu like symptoms I thought she was bluffing, cuz I totally did-no workout can make you feel sick.  Boy was I wrong.  I honestly thought I was sick. OK DYING. Physically, mentally, and emotionally ill, I was spent.  Don't get me wrong, body wise, I felt fantastic.  My clothes fit better, I stand up taller, and I'm proud not to shove crap into my body.  Life is good. Well not quite. I felt so awful from the past few days I called in sick to work, upset that I couldn't do it all (can you tell I'm a tad OCD?), but knowing it was for the best. I took some NyQuil (its now clear I was self medicating for nothing, oops) and slept for majority of the day. And when I say slept I mean comatose, didn't roll over, pass out like you do after partying hard all night sleep.

Weight- down a total of 4.4 pounds!  Wohoo!!!! Keep in mind I skipped dinner the past two days because I didn't have an appetite, but nevertheless, hell yeah!

Once awake, I had to check the TAM blogs I follow, check emails, do a little work, and spend quality time with my DVR. Speaking of email, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to check it. If I see one more recipe, restaurant specials, etc I will explode.  Is there a way to short circuit your brain so you don't obsess over food constantly?  Or wear one of those cat collars that zap you when you have "impure" thoughts.  Hmm, I may be on to something...

I didn't begin my workout for the day till 7 this evening, but go through the 40 rep mat work and 40 minute cardio with out too much discomfort.  But don't let me fool you. I did something I'm ashamed of. I got distracted. Like REALLY distracted. Texting on my phone, reading facebook updates, it was not my best moment.  If someone were to walk in and catch me I'd feel like a kid raiding the cookie jar who got caught...ooh, cookies.

Food - breakfast was suppose to be Kale Juice, an elusive creature I have be on a quest to find since the week before I started TAM, and NO one seems to know what I'm talking about (I even went to the ONE place that said they had it and the pimple faced geek looked at me like I had 3 heads, little twerp) and I am not buying a flippin' juicer.  There was no love loss cuz it think I'd rather drink water from my sweaty socks, and after all I did try to find it, so instead I had strawberries and pomegranate.  I really wasn't hungry the rest of the day (cuz I was knocked out), but I did have some grapes and honeydew from today's menu, but just plain, not all TAM-ified.

Finally, I want to thank everyone for their encouragement and supportive comments.  I really would not have been able to come as far as I have without you (you guys wonderful words far outweigh any excuse I may conjure), and I am eternally grateful.  It is crazy to think that this is the first time I've been really passionate about getting into shape (damn you metabolism for stopping and fries for being so delightful) and I have to admit, I kinda like it :)

Off to bed, thankful for such great followers.  Bring it on Day #7, nothing can stop me now.
