While the act of multi-hour prepping and tedious tasks prove difficult (I've chosen Clif Bar in lieu of a proper dinner so I could hold Owen longer many a times) as we settle into our role with an infant, we've continued to spend time in the kitchen.

protein muffins (recipe on back of power cakes box) -- tip: refrigerate leftovers, they don't keep on the counter well

guinness gingerbread (along with a failed attempt at chantilly dream); not a gingerbread fan, this one completely won me over

creamy poblano tilapia {by Pati Jinich}-- spicy sauce offset by light, flaky fish

creamy avocado dipping sauce (pictured above with ribs + chicken) -- sooooo. good.

deconstructed mini pear pies -- the perfect way to watch GBBS

french bread pizza -- how have I never had these?! Wicked easy and super tasty

browned butter rice krispie treats -- yessss

Stuft Mama's mexican pie {photo} -- silly easy 

DSLR camera sugar cookies {photo} -- tip: prep dough one day and bake the next to save on overall prep time consumption

crockpot chicken, potatoes, green beans -- fail.

green chile queso --the act of scratch made queso was appealing, but reheating the next day is a big fat, nope.

corn, bacon, parmesan pasta {photo} -- perfect summer meal

smoothie bowl -- how do people photograph these without them melting, HOW?
