Day #28 - Wanna Go Home With Me Tonight?

I've got this hat from college (that I swiped while intoxicated oddly enough) that says "Wanna go home with me tonight?", and each time I wear it I get LOADS of odd stares and glances, because of obvious reasons.  What people don't realize is that its a sober driver hat prompting the use of a DD, but that tidbit is on the back of the hat, so people have already assumed I'm working soliciting "business" while at the grocery store, guarding their husbands and fleeing the aisle.

My friend's bday bash was today and yep, you guessed it, I am the sober beeyotch.  I've been pep talking myself all week preparing for the drunk people I'd encounter, along with the incessant questions of why I only had water.  Instead of explaining my journey to lose my "truffle shuffle" time I was interrogated, I decided to use the guise of designated driver.  It was easier to understand while intoxicated, no one wants to hear about my sweat induced workouts while taking shots, talk about buzz kill. The night went way better than I ever imagined. Although I was asked why I wasn't drinking each time the waitress came by, no one pressured me to drink and accepted that I was being "responsible".  If they only knew I'd rather be having cocktails with them instead of my water with lime (fancy right?).  What I can say about my 1st sober bar hopping experience is holy hilarious people watching!  I could write a book on all the drunken foolishness going on.  Another interesting fact is that I CAN have fun without ALCOHOL!  I know, I'm shocked too!  Now don't get me wrong I'm a sucker for wine and delightful cocktails in pretty glasses, but I didn't crave a sip the entire night (or throughout all of boot camp).  Plus, there was no late night "truffle shuffle" induced munchies we all get after a long night of drinking.  I swear you gain 5 pounds after a trip through the drive thru at 2 am.

Weight - down .6 since yesterday: 9.2 total!  I couldn't contain myself any longer and ran (literally sped) to the mall in search of new clothes that don't make me look like a hobo.  I apparently was in a great mood after seeing the scale, and EVERY piece of clothing I touched and tried on got purchased.  Damn shopping is fun when your confidence is through the ROOF!  I was seriously strutting and admiring my new as sin the fitting room mirrors, I won't even lie.  Thoughts of "damn that's my booty" ran through my head.  It was a WONDERFUL shopping day.

Food - I woke up with an upset stomach, so I only had 2 bites of applesauce for breakfast. Lunch was with my friend and her family to celebrate her bday.  I had a grilled chicken salad with honey mustard drizzled on top.  I did have some cheese on it, and don't regret one minute of it.  Oh how I miss cheese!  I also had some pineapple, a spoon of cheesy re fried beans (instead of a tortilla chip), a handful of almonds (instead of pumpkin cheesecake and birthday cake).  Lunch was not on the cleanse, but I felt like I made some really good food choices so I'm happy with my determination to stay healthy even if I didn't have my cleanse food.  I didn't have dinner, but snack was a few bites of pudding, my stomach still was upset but I didn't want to starve myself.

Workout - 45 reps of mat (holy feel the burn!) that I had to split up because of my day, and no cardio :(

All in all, a great day, awesome time out with friends, and continually shrinking truffle shuffle.  I'm a happy camper!

28 down, 2 to go;
