Devout Great British Bake Off viewers, we decided to tackle this Bavarian torte consisting of at least six thin layers of sponge cake inter-laid with chocolate buttercream during a play-date.

A feat worthy of the effort because of the utter decadence of it all, though in full disclosure I won’t be attempting this diddy solo anytime soon. In fact, I sourced one from a local bakery when Mark requested this torte for his birthday the next month.
