Half Assing It

The weather was WAY too nice today to be at work so I took a half day, plus it was our last nice day (70 degrees) for like 5 days (it is suppose to get down to the 40's during the day-blah) so I wanted to enjoy it (stinking STL weather).  Flew home fast and furious, made a broiled turkey burger topped with feta, tomato, red onion, 1/2 avocado.  Had 1 1/2 Cake Balls (to be fair, my cake balls were quite large so don't be fooled) leftover from my girls night (mental note: take to work so I willl STOP eating them).  Had grand plans to workout, study for class that evening and enjoy the gorgeous day.  No. Such. Luck.  Fell asleep in the recliner with my textbook in my lap, and woke to my TV watching me.  Gotta admit, I haven't had a nap in a LONG time and although I have no recollection of falling asleep or for how long, it was glorious :)  Got up in time to get mat done, I keep forgetting about the side leg kick and nail my wall each time.  Must remember to move the mat tomorrow.

From the moment I arrived in class my shoulders tensed up and I felt the urge for either a) a strong cocktail (chip lady and I are considering smuggling flasks in-grad school is rough, don't judge) or b) a food hug.  Since option A was out of the question and I purposely bring healthy snacks (plus avoid vending machines like the bubonic plague), I had my apple and Kashi Crunchy without a second thought.  Thankfully Chip Lady had pretzels tonight, I don't think I had enough in me to resist tonight.  Out literally 3 minutes before we are suppose to adjourn (my professor likes to talk right up to 9:30 - or later), I book it home and settle in for cardio.  I had all the elements in theory; heater, gym clothes, dvd, itunes blaring, yep my ASS didn't show up to sweat!  I managed the most pathetic 30 minutes of cardio in my life, and much to my surprise broke a sweat!  What?  I'm sweating from being lazy?  I must have some SERIOUS fat cells that need to slim down, jeez.  Tomorrow I must redem my half assed cardio, this should be interesting...
